Chocolate eggs with sprinkles

Easter is a holiday on which it is customary to exchange colored eggs. But regular boiled eggs, while traditional, are pretty commonplace. In addition, dozens of them remain after the Easter feast. And children almost always don’t like them.

It's a matter of chocolate eggs! With the advent of Kinder surprises in our lives, they are often presented to children on this bright holiday. And yet, a store-bought chocolate egg is the same as a store-bought cake. Not comme il faut, I tell you. The chocolate is cheap and incomprehensible, and the surprise is dubious.

It is much better to prepare such a sweet gift yourself, at home, with your own hands. Ultimately putting my soul and imagination into it. Both kids and adults will definitely be happy with this gift. Moreover, in modern cooking there are a lot of possibilities. See what molds for chocolate eggs you can buy. And the simplest ones, made of transparent plastic, and colored silicone ones with various patterns. If you try, you can even find it with the letters ХВ - Christ is Risen.

Chocolate egg molds

So let's find out how to make chocolate eggs for Easter, just for fun or as a gift, what to fill them with, stuff them with... There will be several recipes for chocolate egg cream for every taste. Let's start by preparing the chocolate base itself.

Chocolate eggs recipe

Ingredients you will need:

  • Chocolate, good, dark, at least 72% cocoa
  • Egg molds
  • culinary brush
  • Unscented vegetable oil
  • Napkin or cloth
  • kitchen thermometer
  • chocolate bowl
  • water bath pan

1. To make it easier to remove chocolate from the molds, moisten a napkin with oil and wipe them from the inside. This little trick will also ensure the finished shells have a glossy shine.

2. Heating to the desired temperature will help achieve the desired consistency of the chocolate mass. Heat water in a saucepan; it should not boil. Place a bowl of chocolate broken into small pieces into it. While stirring, wait until it melts. The temperature of the chocolate should be 45 degrees. Remove from heat and cool to 35 degrees. Now the chocolate mixture for making eggs is ready.

3. Take the molds and pour a couple of spoons of chocolate into each. Using a brush, spread evenly over the entire half of the egg. Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Repeat this two or three times to obtain the desired thickness of chocolate layer. I think we all remember what it’s like for store-bought eggs from this product. Homemade eggs can be made thicker. After applying each layer, take the time to run a knife along the edge to remove any chocolate splatters and get a smooth edge for gluing the halves together. Reheat the chocolate if necessary.

4. Remove the chocolate halves from the molds. Now you need to put a surprise in one of them. Chocolate eggs without a surprise are boring. And children can simply be disappointed with such a gift. You can invest a toy (a fluffy chicken), candy, money, whatever you want. If you are a groom, you can present the girl with an engagement ring in a chocolate egg. What a surprise, what a surprise!

5. Brush the edges with the remaining chocolate and glue the egg halves together. Let the chocolate harden and decorate the egg. For example, put it in a gift bag or tie it with a ribbon to hide the junction. Or pack in colored foil.

After filling the chocolate eggs, place them in the refrigerator again for half an hour.

3. Mix 2 tablespoons of full-fat milk with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bring to a boil and cool slightly. Beat the egg, pour in the milk in a thin stream, add 200 g of softened butter and a little vanilla sugar. To fill the eggs, use a piping bag.

How to make a kinder?

More than one generation of children has grown up on Kinder surprises - chocolate eggs with a toy inside. This is the kind of gift that children have been wanting to receive for 25 years. 1972 is considered the year in which Kinder surprises appeared. The delicacy is a chocolate egg with a layer of milk, inside of which there is a capsule with a surprise toy. It is these toys that attract children; some even collect collections at home and exchange repeat copies with friends and acquaintances. There are simple and complex ways to make a kinder surprise at home.

We prepare a chocolate egg, which is based on a regular balloon, as follows:

  • Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
  • Let's inflate the balloon and try to make it so that its shape resembles an egg as much as possible.
  • Tie the ball and place it on a plate.
  • Cover with melted chocolate and wait for it to cool.
  • Let's coat it a few more times.
  • Let's put it in the refrigerator.
  • After the chocolate has hardened, carefully cut the resulting egg, take out the ball and place a surprise there, glue the seam with chocolate.

A recipe from real professionals will help you prepare a high-quality and tasty treat that your children will definitely enjoy.

  • Usually chocolate eggs are hollow inside. Especially when it comes to large eggs. We will need a special mold to cook the egg halves. As a form, it is very convenient to use a sheet of acetate with a recess in the shape of half an egg. The chocolate spreads easily over the surface of the acetate and is also easy to remove afterwards. Thanks to the use of such a mold, you can easily cope with such a task as making a kinder.
  • It is better to choose good quality glaze; you need to melt it over low heat and grease the molds with it. Apply the glaze evenly in several layers so that the chocolate egg shell is dense. The drying process occurs at room temperature. Let drying take longer than freezing in the refrigerator, but the appearance of the egg will be more attractive.
  • After half of the shell has hardened, remove the chocolate that has come out of the mold. If this is not done, when joining the halves, the joint will be more noticeable. The dry half is very easy to remove from the mold.
  • In order for the resulting egg to really be a surprise, before applying the glaze-glue, we will put something into one of the shells at the joint.
  • The most difficult stage in our business is connecting the halves together. We do this very quickly, the chocolate should not melt or lose its shape under the influence of the heat of your hands. Professionals use a special method, which, by the way, is absolutely inapplicable at home. The steel surface of the table is heated to a special temperature, the halves are placed on it with the seam down, and the halves are very quickly removed and combined. You can use ready-made glaze, melted to a certain temperature. She needs to grease the edges of the shells and carefully bring them together. We are waiting for the products to dry completely
  • If the seam does not turn out perfect or you want to make the resulting egg more original, you can disguise the seam with icing beads or in some other way.

Now you know how to make a Kinder surprise at home, and you can please your children with an unusual delicacy.

How to make a Kinder surprise with your own hands?

Everyone's favorite sweet from childhood is Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs. Every child enjoys eating the delicious milk chocolate of this delicacy, and then with trepidation opens the box in which a small gift is hidden. In this article we will tell you, how to make Kinder Surprise with your own hands.

How to make an edible Kinder Surprise?

The Kinder Surprise chocolate egg is a sweet that was founded in 1972 by Italian Michele Ferrero.

He, together with the Swiss designer Henry Roth (a master who made capsules and toys for chocolate eggs), created a real brand that was loved not only by children, but also by adults. Today, in any supermarket and even small store you can buy a regular and large-sized chocolate egg. But the price of this sweet is considerable, so not all parents can often delight their kids with their favorite delicacy.

We offer you a simple recipe DIY Kinder eggs. To make 3-4 chocolate eggs you will need the following ingredients:

  • White chocolate bar (100 g)
  • One and a half bars of dark chocolate (140 g)
  • Cream 30% fat (not less than 50 ml)
  • Molds (silicone, plastic or from Kinder Joy sweets)
  • A surprise toy that will lie inside a chocolate egg

Now we will tell you in detail about each step, how to make homemade Kinder Surprise:

  1. Melt dark chocolate (80 g) in the microwave. Don’t forget to stir it every 30 seconds with a regular spoon and monitor the temperature. The fact is that chocolate should not be hotter than 45 degrees. If you break this rule, the chocolate will not harden or will be brittle and crumble.
  2. When this part of the chocolate is melted, you need to add the remaining 60 g to it and stir well so that everything turns into a single mass.
  3. After this, measure the temperature of the chocolate - it should not exceed 40 degrees.

  1. Using a regular spoon, pour melted dark chocolate into a silicone mold and let it spread over the entire surface. After this, sharply turn the mold filled with chocolate over a bowl or pan so that all excess flows out.
  2. After this, we leave the molds to harden. To do this, they do not need to be put in the refrigerator; they will harden at room temperature in half an hour.
  3. While the dark chocolate hardens, we prepare the white layer for the egg (ganache). Take a bar of white chocolate and chop it into small pieces. Then heat the cream a little (you don’t want it to boil). Pour the cream into the white chocolate and beat it all using a kitchen machine or cook in a water bath.

  1. When the white ganache is ready, cool it to room temperature, and then apply a layer on top of the dark, already frozen chocolate in exactly the same way.
  2. While the white layer hardens, we prepare a surprise toy. It can be placed in a regular small gift bag or in baking foil (this can be anything that comes to hand, as long as it is harmless). The surprise itself can also be sweet. But mostly toys or jewelry for children are used - rings, keychains, chains, hairpins or cars.

  1. We put the gift in one of the halves of the chocolate egg, and then glue them together. To do this, you need to coat the contour of one of the halves with chocolate and connect it to the second. Let the workpiece cool.
  2. Now all that remains is to remove the egg from the molds. This is done very easily - you need to carefully pry it with a knife to pull out the sweetness.

All you have to do is make the packaging for DIY chocolate Kinder. We suggest you use regular foil for this. It will need to be pre-painted in white and red using regular gouache. On top you can glue the eyes, pens and cap of the little man who is depicted on the original packaging of the sweet, and the inscription itself.

When preparing a delicacy, do not forget to add the most important ingredient - your love. The child will be delighted, and you can save a lot of money.

By the way, edible Kinder Surprise can be made not only from chocolate. You can bake it as a cake for your child's birthday. How to do it:

  1. Prepare sponge cakes (any recipe can be used);
  2. Prepare the cream (what exactly it will be is up to you to decide);
  3. Cut out circles of different diameters from the sponge cakes and fold them in the shape of an egg. Be sure to cover each layer with a layer of cream. By the way, the inside of the cake can be left empty in order to hide a gift for the birthday boy;
  4. Decorate the cake with marshmallow fondant. There are a huge number of recipes for its preparation, you can choose the one you like the most.

How to make a big Kinder Surprise (toy)?

At home, you can make not only an edible Kinder egg. It can be created from paper using the papier-mâché technique to be used as packaging for a gift for a baby. It will be quite spacious in size. This egg is filled with various sweets and toys. This option is very suitable for those who want to congratulate their child on the holiday in an original way.

How to make such a “Kinder” egg?

  1. Cut white paper into equal pieces. You need to make as many of these pieces as possible.
  2. Prepare a paste from corn starch.

  1. Dip each piece of paper into the paste and glue it to the ball. When it is completely covered with paper, it needs to be greased with paste. We continue to do this until we achieve a dense base. As practice shows, three layers of paper are enough.

  1. Leave the egg to dry (this will take 8-10 hours). Until it is completely dry, you cannot decorate it with anything.
  2. After this, you need to puncture the balloon that was inside. You will have to make a hole in the papier-mâché egg, but be very careful so that it does not burst. The size of the hole should be such that you can insert a gift through it. When you put in the surprise, cover the hole with thick paper.

  1. All that remains is to decorate the Kinder. We suggest you use the same pattern that we proposed for creating a chocolate egg package.

But they certainly will not leave anyone indifferent, and will definitely be remembered. Try making chocolate eggs and see for yourself.

DIY kinder surprise

This delicacy can be made in all sorts of sizes, from different types of chocolate, with or without decoration. It all depends solely on your imagination. Of course, preparing chocolate eggs will require a lot of time and effort, but believe me, the result will please you.

How to make this sweetness? First of all, you will need a form. It may consist of two parts and be made of plastic. But such a device is suitable if you only need to make a few sweets, otherwise the cooking time will be very long.

For those who are going to please their loved ones with a large amount of dessert, silicone molds are suitable. Another significant advantage is their wide selection. Internal containers can be either smooth or have all kinds of patterns and ornaments.

Before using the mold, you need to thoroughly wash, dry and grease with a small amount of oil so that the finished treat can be easily removed.

Basic recipe

The basis of chocolate eggs is, of course, chocolate. It is advisable to take high-quality tiles (72% cocoa), so you can be sure that the base will keep its shape. On average, you will need from 5 to 10 tiles.

You will also need a cooking thermometer and a brush.

First, melt the chocolate in a double boiler. While doing this, monitor its temperature. When the thermometer shows 45 degrees, it’s time to remove from heat. After this, the container with the mass must be left to cool to 35 degrees.

Without hesitation, so that the mixture does not harden, pour a little into each mold and distribute evenly with a brush. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. If you want the shell to be more reliable and not crumble, then repeat the process again.

When the base has hardened, you can join the halves.

To diversify the dessert, make eggs with a surprise by putting small toys for children, money, candy or leaves with pleasant predictions inside.

What to fill with?

If you have the time and desire to make sweets even more interesting, then we suggest you prepare a delicious filling for them:

  • Dairy. Pour a small amount of gelatin (up to 10 g) with milk (80 ml) and heat until the gelatin dissolves, but do not let it boil. When the mixture has cooled, add heavy cream whipped with powdered sugar (1/2 cup cream and 1/3 cup powder).

Refrigerate for 30 minutes, then fill the egg halves with the filling and place in the refrigerator for another 40 minutes.

  • Berry mousse. Fresh or frozen berries are suitable for it - strawberries, raspberries, currants. Puree them by adding heavy cream and sugar. Take the time to whip the cream until thick so that the filling does not spread as a result.
  • "Cheesecake." Guests will definitely like the delicate, creamy taste. The recipe for this filling is very simple. Mix cream cheese (200 g) with powdered sugar and vanilla. Add a little lemon juice and beat thoroughly with a mixer until fluffy.

Separately, beat 150 ml of heavy cream to the same consistency and add to the cheese filling. Place the resulting soufflé into the egg halves.

Chocolate eggs prepared at home, with love and soul, will definitely provide serious competition to store-bought products. In addition, you will always be sure that their composition is safe for children. Surprise your guests with an exquisite dessert with a unique taste.

How are chocolate eggs made?

First, large chocolate bars are crushed in a crushing machine into small chips. Sh The okolad is ground into small chocolate granules. This mixture already contains everything that the original chocolate raw material is rich in - cocoa butter, cocoa beans, sugar and milk. These shavings are then melted in melters - large double-walled cauldrons with hot water boiling between them. Having reached the desired consistency, the melted chocolate mass is poured into plastic molds. The molds filled with chocolate are fixed on a vibrating machine. The molds rotate and their walls are filled with chocolate. This is how chocolate eggs that are hollow inside are formed. After that, a capsule with a toy - a pony - is manually inserted into each chocolate egg. The eggs then move along a conveyor belt into a refrigeration chamber, where they are cold-treated and frozen.

Finally, the chocolate eggs are taken out of the molds and sent to the packaging line. Each egg is automatically wrapped in foil by a packaging machine.

Our production line produces up to 200 eggs per minute! Ready-made chocolate eggs are packaged in blocks, and blocks in boxes. This is how a batch of fresh chocolate eggs appears with a surprise inside. From the factory, chocolate eggs are sent to stores, where those with a sweet tooth are already waiting for them.
